Lazy Loading
Lazy loading delays certain website resources until they are likely to be needed instead of downloading everything immediately.
Lazy loading delays certain website resources until they are likely to be needed instead of downloading everything immediately. On a landscaping portfolio with dozens of project photos, images farther down the page may load as a visitor scrolls toward them. This can reduce initial network work and help the page feel more responsive, especially on slower connections. Lazy loading is different from image compression, which makes each file smaller. It also requires judgment: delaying a prominent image at the top of a page can actually make the first screen appear slower. The goal is to prioritize useful content, not simply defer every image.
