WordPress Site Health Check
A WordPress Site Health check reviews automated diagnostic results and server details shown in WordPress under Tools > Site Health.
WordPress Site Health is a built-in dashboard feature for reviewing the site’s technical condition. Its Status tab reports critical issues, recommended improvements, and successful tests; its Info tab displays configuration details about WordPress, themes, plugins, server settings, and more. Site Health alerts help prioritize maintenance but do not certify that a site is secure, fast, or fully accessible.
An owner of a plumbing business site might open Tools > Site Health after a WordPress update and discover that scheduled tasks are failing or that the PHP version needs attention. The owner can document the warning, verify backups, and plan a controlled fix with the hosting provider. Some items are information only and cannot be changed directly from the Info tab.
WordPress documentation identifies several types of potential issues, including update failures, unsafe debugging exposure, and loopback problems. A passed test does not replace vulnerability scans, page performance testing, real backups, or monitoring of customer contact forms. A site health check differs from WordPress maintenance tasks, which include performing updates, backups, and repairs. Because the two subjects may already overlap in the original glossary, retain a merge-review flag until the full existing article is compared and a distinct reader need is confirmed.
