Website Search Results Page

A website search results page displays matches after a visitor searches within the site itself. It may list service articles, help pages, or other relevant content, along with useful excerpts and links. This page is different from a Google search results page and from the search box that collects the query. A local service website with a substantial help library could benefit from clear result labels and a helpful message when nothing matches. Search results should not pretend that unavailable services or nonexistent pages exist. Small sites may find good navigation more useful than adding internal search solely for appearance.
