Website Accessibility

Website accessibility means designing and building online content so people with different abilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with it.

Website accessibility means designing and building online content so people with different abilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with it. Practical considerations include readable contrast, meaningful image alternatives, keyboard-friendly controls, clear form labels, and captions where needed. A customer who cannot use a mouse should still be able to reach a handyman's contact information and submit a request. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) provide a widely used framework, but a single automated score does not prove a site is fully accessible. Accessibility is an ongoing design, content, and testing responsibility that can also make a site easier for many other visitors to use.
