Visual Hierarchy
Visual hierarchy is the way a page uses size, position, contrast, spacing, and grouping to signal which information deserves attention first.
Visual hierarchy is the way a page uses size, position, contrast, spacing, and grouping to signal which information deserves attention first. A landscaping site might emphasize the service name, show a representative project image, and make its estimate button easy to spot without overwhelming the surrounding details. Visual hierarchy influences scanning and decision-making, but it should reinforce accurate information rather than exaggerate claims. Content hierarchy is the logical arrangement of ideas and headings; visual hierarchy is how that arrangement is expressed on screen. A large heading can draw the eye, yet the page still needs meaningful heading markup and a sensible reading order for accessibility.
