Video Testimonial

A video testimonial is a recorded customer endorsement that communicates a person’s experience with a business, product or service.

A video testimonial lets prospective customers hear and see another person describe a genuine experience. It can show the context of the work, the customer's priorities and a specific outcome. Unlike an ordinary customer testimonial displayed as text, the video format adds tone, visible evidence and production choices that can influence interpretation.

Authenticity matters more than polish. A business should receive appropriate permission to record and publish the material, confirm that the account reflects the speaker's actual experience, and avoid editing clips to change the meaning. Incentives or other material connections may require clear disclosure under applicable advertising rules. Claims about unusually strong outcomes need context and substantiation; a single satisfied customer does not establish what all buyers will experience.

Publish with accessible captions and, when helpful, a transcript. Viewers should not need to watch a long clip to understand the main point, and the accompanying page should explain the service being discussed. A scripted actor presented as an actual customer or an undisclosed synthetic endorser can make the promotion misleading.
