User Key Event Rate (GA4)
GA4 user key event rate is the percentage of measured users who performed a key event in the selected report context.
User key event rate in Google Analytics 4 is the percentage of users who triggered a key event in the relevant report context. Google defines the metric as the number of users who performed a key event action divided by the total number of users, expressed as a percentage. For example, if 25 of 500 measured users performed a qualifying quote-request key event, the user key event rate would be 5% for that data selection. This differs from session key event rate, which uses sessions rather than users as the denominator; it also differs from total key event count, since one user may trigger a key event repeatedly. A configured key event records the specified analytics action, not independently verified sales or qualified leads. Reporting date range, dimensions, consent settings, and measurement coverage all affect interpretation. Compare only metrics with consistent definitions and scopes, and check that event configuration matches the intended business outcome.
