User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

User acceptance testing is the final practical check that a website or digital tool meets the needs agreed upon by the people who will use or own it.

User acceptance testing is the final practical check that a website or digital tool meets the needs agreed upon by the people who will use or own it. Before a new cleaning-service site launches, the owner might test whether quote forms reach the right inbox, service areas display correctly, and appointment links work on a phone. These checks focus on real tasks and acceptance criteria rather than only whether the code runs without errors. UAT differs from general website quality assurance, which can include technical, visual, and compatibility tests throughout development. Problems found during UAT should be documented and resolved or explicitly accepted before handoff. Passing UAT does not establish that every possible defect has been found.
