Structured Data (Schema Markup)

Structured data is information added to a webpage in a standardized format to help machines interpret its content.

Structured data is information added to a webpage in a standardized format to help machines interpret its content. Schema.org vocabulary is widely used, and JSON-LD is a common way to place this markup on a page. For a service business, structured data might describe the organization and its publicly accurate details when supported by the relevant guidelines. Some markup types can make pages eligible for enhanced search appearances, but eligibility is not a guarantee that a special result will be shown. Markup must represent information actually present and truthful on the page. Structured data adds context; it does not replace useful copy, correct business information, or basic site quality.
