In Google Analytics 4, a session is a period of activity associated with a visit to a website or app. One person can have multiple sessions over time, so session counts are not the same as the number of people who visited. A session can include several page views and events, such as opening a service page and tapping a contact link. GA4 records sessions under its own measurement rules, and reporting can depend on consent and tracking configuration. Search Console clicks are different: they describe clicks from Google Search, not all analytics sessions. Looking at sessions alongside engagement and key events can reveal more than treating visits as a measure of business results by themselves.
