Service Radius

Service radius is a practical distance limit a business uses to decide how far it can travel to serve customers.

Service radius is a practical distance limit a business uses to decide how far it can travel to serve customers. A handyman might establish a radius from a home base, while a landscaping team could use several dispatch points or noncircular zones based on driving routes. Straight-line distance is not always a good measure of travel time, fuel cost, or crew availability. The operating radius differs from a sales territory, which may be defined for market planning, and from the service areas entered in Google Business Profile, which follow that platform's own rules. A useful radius policy should reflect actual capacity and state any travel charges or location restrictions clearly.
