Service Area Demographics
Service area demographics describe population characteristics within the geography a business serves, such as household composition, housing types, and other publicly available statistical measures.
Service area demographics describe population characteristics within the geography a business serves, such as household composition, housing types, and other publicly available statistical measures. A lawn care provider might use neighborhood housing patterns to help estimate demand for particular services. Demographic figures should come from credible sources and clearly defined dates and boundaries; citywide averages may not describe a smaller neighborhood. This is different from setting service areas in Google Business Profile, which tells customers where a business operates. Demographic research can guide planning, but it must not be used as a substitute for understanding actual customer needs or for unfairly excluding people.
