Search Appearance is a dimension in Google Search Console's performance reporting that groups search impressions and clicks by certain result presentation types when data is available. A website might appear through a supported rich-result feature or another eligible search display, and the relevant appearance category can help interpret its performance. This is different from a rich result itself, which is a particular enhanced search presentation. Search Appearance categories vary over time and by search type, so an empty category does not prove a website lacks visibility. A service business should examine these numbers alongside actual queries, pages, and total search performance rather than treat the dimension as a ranking score.
