Sales Pipeline
A sales pipeline represents the stages that a potential customer moves through between an initial opportunity and an outcome such as a completed sale or a lost job.
A sales pipeline represents the stages that a potential customer moves through between an initial opportunity and an outcome such as a completed sale or a lost job. A landscaping company might track new inquiries, site visits, sent estimates, accepted proposals, and scheduled work. The specific stages should reflect how that company actually sells services. A pipeline differs from a conversion funnel: it often describes opportunities and actions managed by the sales team rather than aggregate website behavior. Keeping stages current helps staff see which estimates need attention, but a full pipeline does not guarantee income. Dates, owners, and clear definitions make the view more actionable.
