Review velocity describes how frequently a business receives new customer reviews over a defined period. For example, a landscaping company could monitor the number of genuine reviews received each month instead of focusing only on its lifetime total. The measure needs a stated timeframe and should be interpreted alongside service volume and review quality. A sudden increase does not, by itself, prove that reviews are fake or that search rankings will rise. Owners should ask customers for honest feedback using compliant, neutral methods, without selecting only happy customers or offering prohibited incentives.
