Responsive Design Testing

Responsive design testing checks whether a website remains usable as screen sizes, orientations, and content conditions change.

Responsive design testing checks whether a website remains usable as screen sizes, orientations, and content conditions change. It includes more than shrinking a browser window: menus, forms, images, text wrapping, and touch interactions should all be checked. A home repair website's estimate-request button might work on a desktop but become obscured on a narrow phone. Testing can use real devices, browser tools, and different viewport sizes. Responsive testing differs from checking general browser compatibility, although both are useful. Passing tests on one phone does not prove that every device or assistive technology will behave identically.
