Qualified Lead Rate

Qualified lead rate measures the share of collected leads that meet a business's stated qualification criteria.

Qualified lead rate measures the share of collected leads that meet a business's stated qualification criteria. A handyman company might define a qualified lead as an inquiry within its coverage area for a service it actually provides. One possible calculation is qualified leads divided by total evaluated leads over the same period, expressed as a percentage. The criteria, denominator, and handling of duplicates must be documented or comparisons become misleading. This measure is different from a general form conversion rate, which says how often visitors submit something. A high qualified lead rate can be useful, but it does not by itself establish revenue, profitability, or customer satisfaction.
