Analytics & Measurement
Pageview
A pageview records an instance of a webpage being viewed under the measurement system's rules.
A pageview records an instance of a webpage being viewed under the measurement system's rules. In Google Analytics 4, the page_view event is generally sent when a page loads or the browser history state changes in supported configurations. One visitor may view the same service page several times, so pageviews are not the same as unique people. A session can include multiple pageviews, and a user can have multiple sessions. For a handyman website, rising views on a service page may justify investigating interest, but pageviews alone cannot show whether visitors requested an estimate or became customers. Check the analytics implementation before trusting unusual changes in this metric.
