Orphan Page
An orphan page is a webpage with no discoverable internal links pointing to it from other pages on the same site.
An orphan page is a webpage with no discoverable internal links pointing to it from other pages on the same site. It may still be reachable through a direct URL, an external link, or a sitemap, but visitors navigating the site may never find it. For example, a seasonal gutter-cleaning page could become orphaned after the main services menu is reorganized. Checking a website's page inventory against its internal links can reveal pages that were accidentally disconnected. Not every orphan needs a link or even needs to stay published; some pages are intentionally excluded from normal navigation. The decision should reflect the page's purpose, usefulness, and intended visibility.
