Nano-Influencer
A nano-influencer is a creator with a relatively small audience who may reach a focused local, professional or interest-based community.
Marketing reports often use follower-count bands, such as roughly 1,000–10,000 followers, to describe nano-influencers. These thresholds are conventions, not a universal platform-defined category. A small following does not automatically mean strong engagement, authentic trust or low collaboration cost; those qualities must be assessed for each creator.
For a local business, relevant audience geography, content fit and consistent interactions may matter more than raw follower totals. Review audience composition, past sponsored content, engagement quality and creative suitability before agreeing to a partnership. A creator with a small but highly relevant audience can be valuable, yet paid partnerships still require transparent disclosure where applicable.
Nano-influencer is a segment within broader influencer marketing. It describes audience scale and often niche focus, not a separate social platform feature or guaranteed return. Campaign measurement should look at qualified visits, attributable requests and real outcomes with sensible privacy boundaries.
