Multi-Step Form
A multi-step form divides a longer information request into several screens or sections.
A multi-step form divides a longer information request into several screens or sections. A landscaping estimate form might ask for a service type first, property details second, and contact information last. The approach can make a complex request feel more manageable, but it also creates additional navigation that may frustrate users if progress is unclear or earlier answers disappear. Clear labels, an understandable progress indicator, back navigation, and accessible error handling are important. A multi-step form is one design choice within form usability, not an automatic conversion improvement. If a business only needs a name, contact method, and short message, a single straightforward form may be more appropriate.
