Missed Call Rate
Missed call rate measures the share of incoming calls that a business fails to answer under a defined counting method.
Missed call rate measures the share of incoming calls that a business fails to answer under a defined counting method. A cleaning company may use it to understand whether new enquiries reach someone during busy hours. The calculation requires consistent rules for after-hours calls, abandoned calls, spam calls, transfers, and repeat attempts. A high rate can indicate a coverage problem, but it does not reveal how many callers needed an estimate or became customers. Missed call rate is different from call answer rate, and the two may not add to exactly 100 percent if a system uses different definitions. Interpret the metric alongside call volume and response practices.
