Looker Studio

Looker Studio is the former name of Data Studio, Google's reporting and visualization product. Google officially restored the Data Studio name in April 2026. The product still lets users connect supported data sources and build interactive charts, tables, and shared dashboards. A landscaping business might use Data Studio to present GA4 traffic, Search Console performance and its own customer-inquiry records, provided those sources can be connected and their access permissions allow it. The product does not automatically reconcile metrics with different definitions: Search Console clicks and GA4 sessions should not be treated as identical counts. Data Studio is a reporting layer, not a replacement for the underlying analytics system or CRM. Check source freshness, credentials and metric definitions before relying on a shared report. Older tutorials and links may still use the Looker Studio name.
