Lead-to-Customer Conversion Rate
Lead-to-customer conversion rate measures the share of recorded leads that become paying customers during a defined period or cohort.
Lead-to-customer conversion rate measures the share of recorded leads that become paying customers during a defined period or cohort. A cleaning company might compare the number of new inquiries received with the number that eventually book a paid service. The calculation sounds simple, but results depend on how duplicates, repeat customers, delayed purchases, and unqualified leads are handled. A form submission is not automatically a sale. To make the rate useful, identify which leads are eligible, connect outcomes to the correct inquiries, and explain the observation window. This metric differs from a website conversion rate, which may count earlier actions such as quote requests or phone clicks.
