Lead-to-Appointment Rate

Lead-to-appointment rate measures the proportion of incoming leads that become scheduled appointments during a defined period or tracking process.

Lead-to-appointment rate measures the proportion of incoming leads that become scheduled appointments during a defined period or tracking process. A cleaning company might count qualified inquiries from its website and determine how many resulted in confirmed consultations or service visits. The numerator and denominator must be defined consistently: an attempted phone call, a tentative time request, and a confirmed appointment are different events. This metric is narrower than lead-to-customer conversion rate because a scheduled appointment may still be canceled or never become paid work. Comparing rates across channels can reveal workflow issues, but reliable attribution and consistent status tracking are needed before drawing conclusions.
