Lead Response Time

Lead response time measures how long it takes a business to respond after receiving a potential customer's inquiry.

Lead response time measures how long it takes a business to respond after receiving a potential customer's inquiry. For a home repair company, it could be measured from when a quote request arrives to when a team member first gives a meaningful reply. The definition should be consistent: an automatic acknowledgment is not the same as a useful answer about the next step. Response time is different from lead qualification, which assesses whether a request matches the services the business provides. Tracking response time can reveal delays caused by missed notifications or unclear responsibilities. Faster replies may help the experience, but speed alone cannot guarantee a sale.
