Lead Nurture Sequence
A lead nurture sequence is a planned set of follow-up communications that helps an interested prospect evaluate a service over time.
A sequence turns the broad practice of lead nurturing into a specific communication plan: who receives each message, what triggers the next step, how long the gaps are and when contact stops. Messages might explain service options, answer common questions, offer a case study or invite a consultation. The cadence should match the buying decision rather than simply send more messages.
A useful sequence responds to meaningful behavior or stated needs. Someone who downloads a planning checklist may receive a practical explanation first, while a prospect who requests a quote may need a timely human response instead of a long automated series. Track qualified replies, appointments, suppression and opt-outs—not merely open rates.
For email or text, permission, required disclosures and opt-out handling depend on channel, message purpose and jurisdiction. Do not automatically treat a form submission as blanket consent to marketing. Lead nurturing is the broader strategy; the sequence is the scheduled operational workflow and should be distinguished clearly from the existing glossary term.
