Lead Marketplace
A lead marketplace connects prospective buyers with businesses that want to receive or purchase customer inquiries.
A lead marketplace is an intermediary that helps people seeking a product or service reach one or more sellers. A marketplace may run its own website, collect request forms, route telephone calls, or connect visitors to vendors through a matching process. Some providers charge for each qualified lead, others sell advertising or use subscription arrangements.
Before participating, a business should understand whether leads are exclusive or shared, how prospects are matched, which personal details are transferred, what counts as a valid lead, and how duplicate inquiries or refunds are handled. Customer expectations matter too: a person requesting one estimate may not expect multiple unrelated sales calls. Transparent disclosures and appropriate data handling help prevent confusion.
A lead marketplace is different from a lead magnet, which is an offer intended to attract contact information, and different from a company's own website contact form. The platform provides a distribution or matching environment rather than simply collecting interest for one seller.
