Lead Magnet Delivery Email

A lead magnet delivery email is the message that supplies a requested free resource, often through a download link or accessible attachment.

After a person requests a checklist, guide or template, a delivery email should make the promised resource easy to find. A clear subject line, functioning link, accessible format and a short explanation of what was requested are usually more valuable than an immediate hard sell. If the link expires, the expiry and recovery route should be understandable.

The email may also introduce an optional next step, but promotional content changes the message’s purpose. In the United States, the FTC distinguishes transactional or relationship messages from commercial messages partly by what a reasonable recipient would understand the primary purpose to be. The presence of a download link does not automatically exempt a mixed promotional message from CAN-SPAM rules.

This is the delivery mechanism, not the lead magnet itself. A lead magnet is the resource or offer; the delivery email is the communication that fulfills the request. Check consent, accessibility, link security and unsubscribe requirements before using follow-up automation.
