Keyword Difficulty
Keyword difficulty is an estimate used by some SEO tools to suggest how challenging it may be to compete for a particular search phrase.
Keyword difficulty is an estimate used by some SEO tools to suggest how challenging it may be to compete for a particular search phrase. The calculation is not standardized: different tools consider different signals and may assign very different scores to the same keyword. A cleaning company researching “move-out cleaning” might use such a score alongside the types of pages already appearing in search results. Difficulty is not the same as search volume, which estimates how often a phrase is searched. Neither metric guarantees an outcome. Relevance to actual services and the searcher's intent should guide content decisions more than a single tool-generated number.
