HTML

HTML, or HyperText Markup Language, provides the basic structure of a web page.

HTML, or HyperText Markup Language, provides the basic structure of a web page. It identifies elements such as headings, paragraphs, links, images, lists, and forms so browsers can interpret and display them. A cleaning service's booking page may use HTML to distinguish a service description from the form a customer completes. Meaningful elements also help assistive technology interpret the page. HTML does not determine every visual detail: CSS controls much of the appearance, while JavaScript can add interactions. Most business owners never need to write HTML themselves, but understanding its role makes website discussions and content updates easier to follow.
