An HTML form is the part of a web page that collects and submits information through controls such as text fields, checkboxes, and buttons. A handyman website might use one to request a quote, asking about the job type, ZIP code, preferred contact method, and project details. HTML defines the fields and their relationships, but submitting data usually also requires a processing endpoint or service. Labels, error messages, security, spam protection, and privacy handling determine whether the form is practical and trustworthy. An HTML form is a technical building block; a quote request form is one specific business use of it. A visible submit button alone does not mean a submission was received or stored.
