Google Search Console Performance Report

The Google Search Console Performance report summarizes how a verified web property appears and receives activity in supported Google search experiences.

The Google Search Console Performance report summarizes how a verified web property appears and receives activity in supported Google search experiences. Common metrics include clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position; filters can help compare queries, pages, dates, or devices. A landscaping business might use the report to see which service pages receive search impressions but relatively few clicks. The figures describe Google search activity, not all website visits or completed customer inquiries. Some queries may be anonymized or omitted from detailed tables, and metric definitions depend on the selected search type. Unlike GA4, which measures activity on the site, Search Console reports what happened in Google's search results.
