GA4 Measurement ID
A GA4 measurement ID identifies a particular web data stream in Google Analytics 4.
A GA4 measurement ID identifies a particular web data stream in Google Analytics 4. It usually begins with G- and is used in tracking configuration to route website data to the intended stream. It is not the same thing as the entire GA4 account, property, or Google Tag Manager container ID. A cleaning business setting up analytics should check that its site sends events to the correct property rather than assuming any installed tag is correct. Having an ID does not prove measurement is functioning. Events, consent settings, duplicate tags, and actual reports still need to be tested.
