GA4 DebugView
GA4 DebugView is a Google Analytics feature for inspecting events sent from devices or browsers in debug mode.
GA4 DebugView is a diagnostic feature in Google Analytics 4 that shows event activity from a device or browser configured for debug mode. During a quote-form setup, a website specialist can use it to inspect whether a test submission sends the intended event and parameters. DebugView is not a standard acquisition or conversion report; enabling debug mode and seeing an event there does not prove that every production visit will be measured or attributed as expected. Google's documentation notes that events may not appear in DebugView when client-side privacy controls are used or when consent mode is implemented and the person has not consented to Analytics cookies. An empty DebugView should therefore prompt checks of debug mode, tag setup, consent, and event triggers rather than an immediate assumption that all tracking is broken. Test with appropriate consent, then separately check regular processing and reporting.
