A GA4 data stream is a source that sends website or app activity data into a Google Analytics 4 property.
A GA4 data stream is a source that sends website or app activity data into a Google Analytics 4 property. Streams may represent a website, an iOS app, or an Android app. For a small cleaning company with one website, a web data stream is often the main source of analytics data. Its configuration affects which interactions are collected, but seeing a stream in the interface does not prove every form or phone call is measured correctly. A measurement ID identifies the web stream for tagging purposes; the stream itself is the broader configured source of incoming data.
