GA4 BigQuery Export
GA4 BigQuery Export sends raw Google Analytics 4 event data into BigQuery tables for custom queries and analysis.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) can be linked to Google BigQuery so analysts can work with event-level data using SQL. Depending on the configuration, a linked property may create daily events tables, and an optional streaming export can provide fresher intraday data. The export is valuable for advanced funnels, joining data with other approved sources and auditing event implementations.
BigQuery's raw events are not a perfect copy of GA4's standard interface reports. Google explains that Analytics reports may contain additional processing or value additions that the exported events do not. Numbers can also differ because of attribution, definitions, late arrivals or export configurations. Therefore, comparing a BigQuery query with a dashboard requires matching assumptions rather than treating either figure as automatically wrong.
Access, privacy and cost matter. Teams need permission to create the link and query data, should restrict access to customer-level information, and should monitor BigQuery storage and processing charges. Check current property-specific export limits before assuming every event will be available.
