Form Progress Indicator

A form progress indicator shows how far someone has moved through a multi-step form. It may use labels such as Contact Details, Project Information, and Review, or display numbered steps. For a landscaping estimate request, this can help visitors anticipate what remains before submitting. An indicator differs from a loading indicator, which shows that the system is processing something. Step counts and percentage bars are not interchangeable unless the progress calculation really reflects the work remaining. Progress labels should stay accurate if users can skip steps or return to earlier ones. The goal is to reduce uncertainty, not create a false sense of speed.
