Form Error Tracking

Form error tracking records when visitors encounter problems while completing or submitting website forms. Data might identify which fields produce validation messages, how often errors occur, or where people stop after an error. For a cleaning company, repeated failures on a ZIP code field could reveal a confusing input rule. This measurement differs from a form completion rate, which summarizes finished submissions, and from the underlying form validation logic. Error tracking should not collect passwords, sensitive messages, or other unnecessary personal details. Use the findings alongside manual usability testing, because a logged error count cannot explain every source of confusion.
