Form Completion Rate
Form completion rate measures how many people or form attempts finish a form compared with a defined starting population.
Form completion rate measures how many people or form attempts finish a form compared with a defined starting population. The denominator may be form starts, form views, or another event, so the calculation should always be stated. A landscaping company might compare completed estimate forms with forms that visitors started, then inspect where people stop. Completion rate differs from form abandonment, which focuses on unfinished attempts. A completion event must be verified, since clicking Submit does not always mean the form was accepted. Used carefully, the metric can reveal friction, but it cannot by itself explain why visitors did not continue.
