FAB Framework (Features-Advantages-Benefits)
The FAB framework is a copywriting structure that explains a product’s Feature, the Advantage it creates and the Benefit the customer experiences.
A feature describes an observable capability, such as appointment confirmations by text. An advantage translates that capability into a practical improvement, such as fewer manual calls. A benefit answers why the improvement matters to the customer: more time to serve clients and fewer missed appointments. The sequence helps copywriters move beyond specifications without abandoning accurate product descriptions.
For a services website, each FAB statement should start with something the provider actually delivers. Customers may care about different outcomes: a clinic might prioritize fewer no-shows, while a contractor cares about responding quickly to estimates. Relevant evidence, demonstrations and limitations should support the claimed outcome. A feature does not prove a quantified saving or conversion improvement merely because a benefit sounds persuasive.
FAB is a messaging tool, not a full sales funnel or a guarantee of persuasion. Unlike a general value proposition, which communicates an overall reason to choose a provider, an FAB sequence breaks an individual feature into a reason it matters. Avoid inventing customer results, particularly for financial, health or compliance promises.
