Event Count (GA4)

Event count is a GA4 metric showing how many times specified events were collected. A page_view event might fire as pages load, while a custom event could record the successful submission of a contact form. One visitor can generate the same event multiple times, so event count is not equivalent to the number of users or distinct leads. If a handyman website sees many phone-link clicks, the figure reports tracked click events rather than confirmed phone conversations. Interpret event count alongside event definitions, filters, consent behavior, and other dimensions. Unexpected spikes may reflect implementation issues as well as genuine activity.
