Enhanced Measurement (GA4)

Enhanced measurement is a Google Analytics 4 feature that can collect certain website interaction events through configurable settings without requiring separate custom code for every event.

Enhanced measurement is a Google Analytics 4 feature that can collect certain website interactions through options configured in a web data stream, without separate custom code for each supported event. Depending on the enabled options and website setup, this can include page views, outbound clicks, internal site searches, file downloads, and scroll events. GA4's enhanced-measurement scroll event normally fires when a visitor first reaches about 90% of a page's vertical depth; it is not a full scroll-depth tracking system. Some interactions, such as embedded video events, have additional technical requirements. A home service business should check which options are enabled and test whether the data actually arrives. Enhanced measurement does not automatically confirm that a quote form was successfully submitted. A reliable lead measure may require a separately implemented event and an appropriate key-event configuration. Privacy, consent, and collection of personal information still need attention.
