Descriptive Button Label
A descriptive button label tells people what will happen when they activate a control.
A descriptive button label tells people what will happen when they activate a control. Labels such as Request an Estimate or Show Available Times are more informative than vague wording like Click Here. A handyman website may use a clear button label so visitors can distinguish opening a booking form from submitting an appointment request. Accessible buttons also need a programmatically available name that matches their purpose; visible text and accessible names should not conflict. This differs from link text, which describes the destination or purpose of a link. The strongest labels are short, specific, and accurate about the next step.
