Custom Email Domain
A custom email domain lets an organization send or receive mail at addresses using its own domain, with separate mailbox and DNS configuration.
A custom email domain allows a business to use addresses associated with a domain it controls, such as estimates@example.com, rather than a generic consumer mailbox domain. The business may register the domain with one provider and purchase or manage mailboxes through another, so owning a domain does not automatically create a working email service. DNS MX records specify where incoming email should be delivered. SPF helps identify authorized sending servers, DKIM provides a way for receiving systems to verify a cryptographic signature on messages, and DMARC supplies policy and reporting signals linked to domain alignment; these records have different jobs and should not be described as interchangeable. A cleaning company might use its domain consistently on quotations, invoices, and contact pages while still relying on a managed email-hosting provider. Good configuration, account protection, and responsible sending matter, but a branded address or authentication records alone do not guarantee inbox placement or prevent every impersonation attempt.
