Cookie Consent Banner
A cookie consent banner is an interface that tells website visitors about certain uses of cookies or similar technologies and, where appropriate, asks them to make a choice.
A cookie consent banner is an interface that tells website visitors about certain uses of cookies or similar technologies and, where appropriate, asks them to make a choice. A small service business might display one when its site uses analytics or advertising tools that require consent under applicable rules. The banner should explain choices clearly and work for keyboard and mobile users. Showing a banner does not, by itself, mean the underlying tracking respects those choices. Google Consent Mode is a separate technical mechanism for communicating consent states to supported Google tags. Legal requirements vary by jurisdiction and technology, so banner wording and behavior need their own compliance review.
