Conversation Intelligence
Conversation intelligence uses software to analyze sales and support conversations, turning calls, meetings, or chats into searchable evidence about customer needs and team performance.
Conversation intelligence helps teams examine business conversations at a scale that manual note-taking cannot easily support. A typical system captures an authorized call or meeting, transcribes it, and identifies topics such as pricing questions, product objections, follow-up commitments, or customer complaints. Some tools also summarize conversations or estimate sentiment, but a generated label is an interpretation, not a verified statement of someone’s emotions.
For a service business, the value lies in finding repeated friction. If customers regularly ask whether a quote includes disposal or a travel fee, managers can adjust website copy, estimates, or staff guidance. Compare patterns across a representative sample instead of treating one transcript as proof. Speech recognition errors, accents, background noise, and selective recording can distort results; keep access restricted and establish retention rules.
Recording and analyzing identifiable conversations can trigger notice, consent, workplace, and privacy requirements that differ by location and use case. Conversation intelligence describes the analysis of interactions, not the conversion rate itself or a guarantee that a scoring model can predict purchase intent.
