Content Gap Analysis
Content gap analysis looks for important audience questions or business needs that existing content does not adequately answer.
Content gap analysis looks for important audience questions or business needs that existing content does not adequately answer. It may combine customer inquiries, service priorities, site search behavior, and comparisons with useful competitor pages. A lawn care business might discover that customers need clearer preparation instructions before a seasonal cleanup appointment. A content audit reviews what is already published and its condition; gap analysis focuses on what meaningful coverage is missing. Not every gap should become a separate page. The right response may be to expand an existing service page, rewrite confusing copy, or add a short FAQ answer. Search volume alone cannot establish whether the new information is valuable.
