Content Freshness
Content freshness concerns whether information remains timely and accurate for the subject and the reader's current needs.
Content freshness concerns whether information remains timely and accurate for the subject and the reader's current needs. A page explaining seasonal lawn care may need periodic checks because recommendations can depend on season and local conditions; a definition of a long-established design term may need fewer changes. Freshness is not simply the date displayed at the top of a page. Content refresh is the act of reviewing and updating material, while freshness is a quality of the information itself. Changing a publication date without meaningful revisions does not make stale advice useful. Review frequency should follow the topic's rate of change, not an arbitrary publishing schedule.
