Contact Preference Field

A contact preference field asks a customer how they would like a business to respond, such as by phone, email, or text message.

A contact preference field asks a customer how they would like a business to respond, such as by phone, email, or text message. On a quote request form, it can reduce missed connections and help employees choose a suitable follow-up channel. The field should be clearly labeled and should not suggest that choosing a method automatically authorizes every type of marketing message. For example, a request to receive a service estimate by text is different from agreeing to recurring promotional texts. Contact preferences also need to be respected in the business's actual workflow; collecting the information has little value if staff ignore it. Keep the choices simple and provide necessary consent information separately.
